ReCupán Galway

save cups32ReCupán Galway is a campaign to promote reusable beverage cups as a way to reduce waste. Single-use disposable cups is a big environmental problem. The campaign encourages local cafes, shops, pubs etc. to offer a discount of at least 10 cents per drink if a customer uses a reusable cup for take away coffees and teas. The campaign is organised by Transition Galway in conjunction with JCI (Junior Chamber International) Galway and Galway European Green Leaf. A promotional photoshoot with broadcaster Duncan Stewart took place in Eyre Square on 11th March 2017 to launch the ReCupán Galway campaign. Photos credit: Andrew Downes Photography
